The Center for a Sustainable Coast was formed in 1997 by a group of public-spirited environmental professionals and concerned citizens. The purpose of the organization is to improve the responsible use, protection, and conservation of this region's resources - natural, historic, and economic. The Center for a Sustainable Coast advocates responsible decisions that sustain coastal Georgia's environment and quality of life.
We are supported about equally by foundation grants and individual donations at all levels - from $10 to $5000 a year or more. Center activities are devoted to the public good, guided by our board of directors, and unimpeded by any donors or special interests.
