JRA Architects has served as architects for over $100 million dollars in private commercial construction in downtown Lexington alone. Today, the firm has offices in Lexington and Louisville, a long list of architectural design awards, and a prestigious array of clients ranging from institutions to private developers.

In addition to the University and College campus projects throughout Kentucky, JRA Architects has completed over 350 public school projects and over 100 health care facilities.

Master planning, a traditional part of JRA Architect’s services, has received increased emphasis. This division of service has expanded in the past few years to include healthcare master planning at Woodford County Memorial Hospital, Wayne County Hospital, and UK Medical Center; campus master planning at the University of Louisville, Alice Lloyd College, and site planning and building programming for numerous boards of education throughout the Commonwealth.

JRA Architects took a major step in 1985 in becoming the first Lexington architectural firm to establish a permanent office in Louisville, Kentucky. The firm has been awarded major commissions at the University of Louisville for the design of the Student Center Building as well as the University of Louisville Campus Master Plan and a significant addition to the Louisville Veterans Administration Hospital. The firm’s Louisville clients include the University of Louisville, University Healthcare, the City of Louisville and PNC Bank.

The firm has designed and administered construction projects totalling over one billion dollars. The planning projects are diverse and include such clients as the cities of Berea and Wilmore, Kentucky, the campuses mentioned above, and numerous religious facilities for a variety of denominations.
