The Ursa Foundation, founded in 1976 is a non-profit 501(c)(3) foundation providing advanced continuing education to manual practitioners. Ursa teaches scientifically-based, effective manual techniques in a way that students can immediately put to use in their practice. The Ursa experience is an immersion into the history, the theoretical basis and the impeccable practice of manual therapies in the modern realms of care giving. Ursa is a foundation dedicated to developing observational and assessment skills that reveal the individual needs of each and every patient, and to then select the appropriate treatment systems, timing and techniques to provide seamless results.

The basis of the Ursa approach is the scientific beginnings of the human being. From embryology to growth and development, you will understand the all-important tissue relationships. Ursa explores a more complete relationship in the science and the art of manual therapies from the developing fetus and newborn through the entire human life cycle, constantly assessing, intervening and reassessing for the best possible outcome and practice. This will establish a basis on which to develop your knowledge of physiology, neurology, pathology and treatment skills.

The Ursa Foundation has been a recognized leader in overcoming the challenges and various prejudices to enhance the teaching of the scientific basis of manual medicine internationally. The goal of the Ursa Foundation is to have each individual develop into the best possible manual practitioner that they are capable of becoming.

We would like to thank you for your continued support and interest in quality professional education. We are now in our 38th year of providing outstanding continuing education classes.

To register for a class, please see the Course Registration Information. All enrollees must be licensed, registered or certified with statutory authority to apply the techniques learned. Ursa courses offer a low pressure learning environment. Most courses emphasize “hands-on” laboratory time while other classes offer a lecture only format.

We look forward to seeing you in 2014!
