Consider Making Us Your Mission as we help to change the lives of those facing homelessness, domestic violence, addiction and poverty through the compassion of Christ.
Since 1952, the Mission has provided residential shelter and meals to those in need in the Central Georgia community. Currently, we are able to accommodate the needs of our residents in our 26,000 square foot facility complete with commercial kitchen, men and women’s lodging, chapel, meeting rooms and library.
We offer the following assistance to the economically disadvantaged:
• Men’s Division—residential work-therapy program for homeless men focused on addiction recovery and a return to self-sufficiency. • Dove Center—residential program for female survivors of domestic violence and their children including services to help them heal from abuse and gain life skills for independence. • Community Outreach— meal provision program for the transient homeless population throughout the year, including a sit-down family-style Thanksgiving and Christmas Holiday Dinner or choice of holiday delivery for elderly shut-ins.
The Mission’s income is primarily based on donations from individuals, corporations, civic organizations, churches, foundations and donations of items sold through our Bargain Center Thrift Store.
