Exciting to get to know the #Technion Rube Goldberg Contest winners, Katz Yeshiva High School of South Florida, #InTheirOwnWords: Max Davis: “The Technion Rube Goldberg Contest forced us to use our #engineering intellect in newly creative ways. While challenging, it provided a fun and exciting bonding experience, and gave us a new perspective on what we can do to become more eco-friendly.” Josh Bernten: “As a young child in day school, the topic of #environmental issues had always been discussed, but without much passion or enthusiasm. This contest changed that.” Noah Bernten, who aspires to attend the Technion: “To represent metal recycling, we needed a simple way to demonstrate melting metal. I came up with gallium. We represented other themes by rummaging through old toys and a recycled random object bin.” Now the team will see if they also win the popular vote! That win will be based on likes.
