CAT Theatre is the blending of old friends with new. CAT began in 1964 as a local community theatre that reflected the community it served. Over the years, as that community changed and grew, CAT has also changed and grown. CAT is now a professional theatre with deep roots in our Greater Richmond community from which we continue to draw our talent and our strength. Each show, we have new talent join us to work beside and to learn from seasoned talent. Sometimes, these new folks teach us new things. Finding those skills and talents, drawing that knowledge from the community is why theaters like CAT exist all around the country and I am very proud that, as CAT enters our 50th Anniversary Season, Cat has never forgotten that we came from the community that supports and strengthens us As someone who has been with CAT since 1990, I am proud to be part of CAT’s history and I look forward to being part of CAT’s future.
