Since 1994, QPS has helped the people of Springfield, Missouri, and the surrounding region take part in clinical research trials that affect which drugs and devices are approved for sale and use.
All medications must be carefully evaluated in independent testing laboratories such as Missouri’s QPS prior to approval by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The testing is designed to determine if products are safe and effective in humans.
Generally, studies require you to spend time with other study participants in our comfortable and attractive facility, allowing your blood to be collected at regular intervals. Studies usually range from overnight to a few days.
Compensation for each program varies depending on several factors, such as the number of hours/days participants stay at QPS, the total number and amount of blood draws and other procedures, and the number of required returns to our facility. Stipends typically range from $350 to $8,000. Over the past two decades, we estimate we have paid out over $30 million to area participants.
