STH is a third-generation manufacturer's representative. The company was originally established as the Peerless fire pump representative serving the commercial market in 1932 by Lyle F. Howe and operated under the name of Lyle F. Howe Company. The company was purchased and the product lines were expanded to include a variety of plumbing pumps and controls by John Shafer and Ken Troxell and incorporated as STH Inc. in 1973.
In 2001, STH was purchased by Gareth Koogle and Jeff Russell, completing a second successful ownership transition for what started as a small, individually owned rep firm and today is a prominent market leader in the sale and service of fire pumps, domestic water boosters, sump & sewage systems and related controls and pre-engineered wastewater and rainwater harvesting systems servicing both the commercial and municipal markets.
Our corporate office is located in Frederick, Maryland and we market our products and services in Maryland, Northern Virginia, Washington DC and parts of Delaware and West Virginia.
