Idaho Legal Aid Services, Inc. (ILAS) has provided free legal services to low income Idahoans for over 45 years. We are Idaho’s largest nonprofit law firm with offices throughout the state, three toll free legal advice lines and a website with free legal content. Our mission is to seek equal justice for the underprivileged. Our purpose is to provide legal representation and community education to low income Idahoans.
We advocate for low income Idahoans. Every year we help thousands of Idahoans with critical legal problems such as escaping domestic violence and sexual assault, housing (including wrongful evictions, illegal foreclosures and homelessness), guardianships for abused/neglected children, legal issues facing seniors (such as Medicaid for seniors who need long term care and Social Security), and discrimination issues. Our Indian Law Unit provides specialized services to Idaho's Native Americans. The Migrant Farmworker Law Unit provides legal services to Idaho's migrant population.
