CAF-LSS is a unit of the national Commemorative Air Force organization which was founded to represent historical planes and military items stemming back from our history and our missions for freedom. CAF tours historical military planes throughout the for all to enjoy, and offers tours.
The local Superior, WI area CAF-LSS is refurbishing an important project, the PBY Catalina 6A, also called "the flying boat." Especially important of the significant Battle of Midway for it's pivotal mission.
The PBY Catalina is incredible for its versatility in its rescue of downed troops in water rescue, transport of military personnel and supplies and incredible travel air length during WWII.
The Commemorative Air Force is driven entirely by its members and volunteers with folks just like you.
More often than not our members and volunteers have little or no aviation experience but posses the desire to carry on the memories and historical displays from critical periods throughout the history of the United States to the present day.
We strive to serve the community with items of educational and historical significance and honor all veterans.
