We'd like to invite you to join us tomorrow night for the Cancer Survivor Support Group meeting - Thursday Oct. 12 at 6pm, at the Augusta Oncology office at 3696 Wheeler Road. Dinner will be provided by our guest speaker Kyle Evans. In addition to being a certified dementia practitioner, Kyle is also a bereavement counselor for kids ages 6 - 17 at Camp Cocoon, as well as a Columbia County Chamber ambassador. After Kyle shares his presentation on Hospice 101, we'll be breaking in his new BINGO set --and yes, there will be prizes. 😃 We hope you'll join us for a fun and informative evening!

Sept. 27 was a significant day for Aurora Amaro. It marked the end of her chemotherapy.

On the heels of catastrophic Hurricane Harvey, and as Florida braces itself for Irma, one of the strongest storms ever recorded in the Atlantic, we want to stress the importance of safety. Cancer patients, in particular, are especially vulnerable to health risks and injuries associated with natural disasters such as this. Cancer.org has some smart recommendations for preparing a cancer patient for a hurricane emergency; please check out the link below for more information.
