Susan G. Komen® Great Plains raises funds to support the Komen Promise to end breast cancer forever.
The majority of funds raised come to us through our Race for the Cure events held annually in the Fall. Other sources of revenue include fundraising events, individual and corporate donations, and memorial or celebration contributions.
Seventy-five percent (75%) of net revenues stay in our service area of Nebraska and South Dakota and fund educational, screening or treatment support services to women and men in our community. The remaining 25% of net funds support global breast cancer research. We are committed to breast health education in our communities and projects that fund free and/or low cost breast screening services for underserved and uninsured women and men in our communities.
