The Murdock Charitable Trust was created in 1975 to enrich the quality of life in Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon and Washington.
From day one, our mission has been to serve individuals, families and communities across the Pacific Northwest by providing grants and enrichment programs to organizations that strengthen the region’s educational, spiritual and cultural base in creative and sustainable ways.
We partner with a wide variety of organizations whose missions contribute to serving the common good. Our team carries out the Trust’s work by:
Serving our constituencies through strategic grants and enrichment programs that help organizations advance their mission, build capacity and increase effectiveness.
Convening people to identify emerging regional challenges, opportunities and areas of mutual interest.
Promoting idea-sharing and networking among individuals and organizations.
Encouraging thoughtful, purposeful stewardship and investment of resources
