Jackson United Methodist Church

The Jackson United Methodist Church in Jackson, Georgia originated in 1818, when Mary Buttrill, a Jackson resident, had a room constructed a block south of 3rd Street and held the first Methodist worship services in what would later become Butts County. It has been opening its doors to all since 1845 at its present site on East Third Street in Jackson. The current building was constructed in 1924 in the Gothic Revival style of architecture and has been added onto three times.

If you would like to worship with us, we hold contemporary worship at 8:45 AM and traditional worship at 11AM each Sunday. We would love to have you join us!

We also have Wednesday activities for our children, youth and adults at various times of the day. Family Night Supper is held each Wednesday evening at 6PM in the Fellowship Hall when school is in session. We have Sunday School classes for pretty much any age or demographic which meets each Sunday at 10:00 AM between the Contemporary and Traditional Services. The Chancel Choir rehearses on Wednesday evenings at 7:15 PM and would be glad to have you become a part of choir.

Whatever ministry you would like to be a part of, we can usually accomodate you and we enjoy trying new ideas. Come and be a part of the Jackson United Methodist Church!
