HMMI is a comprehensive breastfeeding program staffed by professional lactation consultants for families and healthcare providers in the State of Hawai‘i. Our warmline provides this community with assistance for all breastfeeding questions. In-office counseling for breastfeeding problems and trying of the various breastpumps is provided to all clients free of charge. Rentals and purchases of quality breastpumps and supplies are available with the appropriate education and support. Also Prenatal Breastfeeding Classes are taught for a minimum fee.
We are a private 501 (c) (3) non-profit, Aloha United Way agency (Designation #96120) totally supported by the generosity of our community through fundraising, grants and private donations. All donations are tax deductable to the fullest extent of the law. Donations and support by the community assures the on-going existence of this vital service of assisting women to provide their own breastmilk – the milk best suited for their babies!
