"One such skill gap that Lauro and Beatty wanted Atlantis to address was the lack of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education in K–12. Thanks to a partnership with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, kids at Atlantis Charter School are gaining college-level STEM skills." "This week in ACS sports!" Middle School: Our ACS Girls Middle School Soccer team knocked off Kuss Middle School to win the Championship game this past Saturday. It was a great defensive battle and the action kept everyone in attendance on edge. Coach Baptista commented about the victory: “Ultimately, each and every girl that played gave 110%. The girls were able to work as a team, and that is what won us the game. The final score was 1-0, and it is unknown who knocked the ball in off of a corner kick.” Congratulations to our players and coaches for their dedication this season, and for bringing the championship home to ACS. Our Middle school boys team won their final game vs Talbot 3-0. A special shout-out to our players and coaches for a fine soccer season. A note from the Athletic Director: “I want to thank all of our players and coaches for their efforts this fall season. Our teams played very well, and it has been a pleasure coming out to see all of you in action. We are all very proud of all of you. I also want to thank our parents, alumni, and other members of the community for their support. Each week we have the largest group of supporters out there, and we need to keep that ACS Spirit up for our upcoming winter and spring seasons.” High School: The ACHS Football team lost to Tri-County this week, but we had some highlights as Nasrallah El Lakis and Peyton Perry each scored touchdowns. Check out the highlights via the link below. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/8yfh61doj368xbs/AABgvKKoDp7RsGzZLkDraK6fa?dl=0 Our final Football game of the season is next Thursday, Thanksgiving Day, November 23rd at 10:30 am vs. Randolph High School. The game is being played at Randolph HS, 70 Memorial Parkway, Randolph MA, 02368. Please come out and support our team in their final game of the season.
