Foggy Mountain Gem Mine was founded by Dana Morace, a classically trained pianist and RN(Registered Nurse), originally from High Point, NC. After retiring as a nurse, Dana discovered the art of lapidary, cutting rough stones into gems, and thus found her second calling.
Dana shared her art with her son, Nik, who continues to provide the finest in natural gemstones from around the world, in a fun, family atmosphere. Emeralds, Rubies, Sapphires, Amethyst, Citrine, and many more are guaranteed in each bucket sold.
Once you find your rough stones , a staff member will identify them for you, and show you how to turn them into unique family heirlooms. Our jewelry settings are offered in 14k Gold and Sterling Silver at the most reasonable prices. Gorgeous mineral specimens are also available for collectors of all ages!
