Waco Kids Dental is excited to welcome Dr. Aaron Blackwelder, a pediatric dentist in Waco.
He has received advanced training in dentistry to meet the oral health needs of infants, children, and adolescents.
Dr. Blackwelder was born in Connecticut, but soon realized Texas was his true home. He completed his dental education at Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas and his residency in pediatric dentistry at the University of Iowa. Dr. Blackwelder comes to us after working several years in Tyler, Texas.
Dr. Blackwelder is active in many professional organizations and offers comprehensive oral health care for your children including laughing gas (Nitrous Oxide), light sedation, and early orthodontics. Dr. Blackwelder has received advanced training in child behavior management, special needs children, hospital dentistry and sedation.
Dr. Blackwelder is an Eagle Scout and enjoys participating in local Boy Scout programs. He has been active locally and internationally in developing oral health programs and providing proper dental care for underserved children. With a special affinity for those with special needs he has been involved in Special Olympics in the past.
Dr. Blackwelder and his wife Genevieve, reside in Waco with their four children: Hyrum, Seth, Emeline, and Camille. Dr. Blackwelder also enjoys swimming, playing soccer, traveling, camping, fishing, and sailing with his family.
