MEET PATCH - So, my Mom was a Golden...my Dad a Black Lab. Sadly, my Mom crossed The Bridge. I've been kind of "on my own" for a while. So at 15 months, it's time to find my forever home. I am a boy with lots of joyful energy...I need some "training". But I'm tons of fun. I like other dogs and kids. Not sure exactly when...but I'm coming from Puerto Rico soon. Please contact Lisa at: rjlph@outlook.com PLEASE be sure to include where you live and info about your home, family and work hours. I will need a foster or forever home when I get here.

UPDATE - We are not sure when or if Blondie will be coming to us from Puerto Rico. MEET BLONDIE - Awwww....look who wants to come to dinner. Meet Blondie. Check out her before and after. Poor little girl was pitifully thin when she was rescued from the streets of PR. She has thrived in her foster home. But now she's coming here to find her forever home. Until you've rescued a Golden Oldie...you cannot know the joy these dear, loving, grateful souls offer. The white on their faces is truly the sweetness that is sugar. Blondie has lots of playful energy....without being a "crazy girl". If you value quality over quantity...then you will truly appreciate adopting a senior....the time together is priceless. She is arriving Wednesday 2/15 and will need a foster or forever home to go to. Please contact Denise at: deniselibby@ymail.com. BE SURE TO GIVE HER ALL THE INFO SHE NEEDS TO KNOW IF YOU COULD BE A MATCH in your initial email.

NOTE - When a dog is posted for adoption. The contact person gets 5 to 15 inquiries a day. They range from "I want this dog...can you tell me about the dog...is he/she available?" So for every inquiry like that a response is required. It would be incredibly helpful to the volunteer who is donating time to the Rescue, if when inquiring about a dog the email contained information that will immediately determine if the dog is a fit. So, please when emailing about an available dog. Include where you live. If you have had a home visit. How much time would a dog be home alone during the day. Please share info about your family, live alone...live with others.... kids...other animals in the home. Do you have a yard? Is it fenced? Then, the contact volunteer can determine if this could be a match....without exchanging many time consuming emails. Please be sure to include this info when inquiring about a dog. Thank you ** this will be a repeated post as a reminder **

MEET KHANDI - Khandi....Candy....sounds the same. Sweet, sweet. That's me. I ended up in the shelter...which is no place for an approximately 14 year old lady to be. I know it's a stretch, but surely you can see some Golden in me...check out my tail!! I was found wandering in the street. Can you imagine how sad and scared I feel? But the folks at GRSF believe one of their amazing followers will step up and offer me a home. I sure hope they are correct. PAWS CROSSED!! Please contact Lisa at: rjlph@outlook.com

Barbara, One of our long time and frequent adopters lost her husband Jim this week. It was a long and arduous battle with Alzheimer's. A few months ago, Barbara took in the 10 year old Golden, Nala for us. Barbara shared the picture below. Nala sat by Jim's bed when he came home from The hospital. She didn't leave his side. And neither did Barbara. Nala gave such comfort to Barbara. They went through this sad journey together. Barbara, we are saddened by your loss. But overjoyed that you and Nala found each other just when you needed each other most.
