Our Roots Run Deep


Illustrated Properties’ roots run deep. The story began in the 1930’s, when a man named ”Bud” Adams, Sr. started selling land on Jupiter Island. He reared his son there, “Bud” Jr., teaching him the importance of relationships and reputation. Bud, Jr. founded Illustrated Properties in 1975 with the idea that a real estate company could be something extraordinary.

In the 1980’s, Bud, Jr. was joined by his son, “Chappy” Adams, and together they created a company that has grown to become the largest independent real estate company in Palm Beach County, with offices in Martin, St. Lucie, Volusia, and Collier counties.

Illustrated Properties experienced a great loss when Chappy passed away in January, 2013. Bud Adams continues to serve as the company’s president and CEO, and although Illustrated Properties is a large firm, it still runs like a family business.
Illustrated Properties’ success is a result of the quality of its people and the relationships that they have with the communities they serve.
