Please join us in giving a warm welcome to Officer Marcus Medal and Officer Matthew Diehl. Officer Medal and Officer Diehl were sworn in this morning and are officially a part of the Altamonte Springs family! We also had the pleasure of recognizing Senior Police Officer Colette Singrossi for her brave efforts on July 2, 2017. Officer Singrossi responded to a call reference a possible overdose. When Officer Singrossi arrived on scene, she found the male unresponsive and not breathing. Officer Singrossi immediately began chest compressions which caused the unresponsive male to gasp for air. Officer Singrossi place the male in the recovery position as the Seminole County Fire and Rescue arrived on scene. The rescue personnel used two doses of Narcan to revive the male, who was then transported to the hospital. Due to the actions of Officer Singrossi, the male’s life was prolonged to the extent where he was able to be treated by attending members of the Seminole County Fire and Rescue, and able to make a full recovery. Officer Singrossi’s response to a critical situation has proudly earned her the Prestigious Life Saving Award! Congratulations to all!
