The Greenfield Township Volunteer Fire Company is dedicated to providing the highest level of service to the citizens of Greenfield Township and surrounding communities. The Greenfield Fire Company was chartered in 1966 and began service with a used pumper and a used ambulance. Our humble begining started with using a rennovated horse barn as a station. Over the last 35 plus years we have built a new station which houses our three pieces of apparatus: a 1994 Mack Tanker, a 2003 Ford AEV ambulance and a 2003 Central States Engine/Rescue. We annually respond to over 370 incidents in Greenfield and surrounding communities including Clifford, Scott, Carbondale Township, Carbondale City and Waymart. Our responses bring us to Lackawanna, Susquehanna, Wayne and Wyoming counties. Our strong 1st alarm mutual aid support is one of our biggest assets they include: Clifford Fire Company, Cottage ALS, Forest City Fire Department, Meridith Hose Company, Scott Hose Company, Union Dale Fire Company and William Walker Hose Company.
