The Gardens at Heather Farm is a free public garden, education center and special event venue nestled on a picturesque hillside in Walnut Creek, CA. Our six-acre property holds various garden areas that provide a beautiful and serene environment for strolling, resting or picnicking with family and friends. Our youth education program reaches over 15,000 K-12 school children in Contra Costa County, and also offers nature-inspired classes for babies and preschoolers. Our adult education program, From the Ground Up, offers practical lessons on developing gardens, then using the garden’s bounty to create unique home décor and gifts. And with visually-inspiring indoor and outdoor spaces, our venue is a superb choice for weddings, meetings, memorials and parties, offering you and your guests a unique and memorable experience. As a 501 (c)(3) non-profit, we are self-supporting through memberships, fundraisers, private donations, program fees and rental facilities.
