Starting in the coffee business in the late 1970's we roasted a special Louisiana blend of coffee's in antique equipment and sold them to restaurants and supermarkets in south Louisiana. At about this time we also got into the spice business and sold our bulk spices to the offshore oil trade and at one time sold to hundreds of rigs and platforms. In 1989 we learned that our old roasters would also do peanuts and tried that. The results were good but, something was missing! Why couldn't we combine our knowledge of spice and roasting to peanuts? With that goal in mind, the challenge was set and within a few months, Voila: HOT NUTS! Now after many millions of pounds later (with the absolute help/assistance/blessing of Hampton Farms, we consider our efforts an absolute success. Thank you, Hampton Farms!
