HEALTH ALERT: Influenza is here and we are seeing more and more positive tests at AHP. The best way to protect your family is to get a flu vaccine, it’s not too late! If your child has symptoms of high fever, chills, aches, cough, and fatigue, it may be the Flu. While most children with Flu recover well, it can be serious and have complications. If your child is sick, we are here to help! We have a rapid Flu test that can identify the Influenza virus in 15 minutes. Your child may be a candidate for antiviral medications (Tamiflu) if they have severe symptoms, have asthma or another medical condition, or are under 2 years old. These medications work best when used in the first two days of illness, so don't delay. We wish everyone a healthy winter season.

We will be open from 10 am - 10 pm on President's Day Monday, February 20th.

When not chasing her young daughters or enjoying outdoor adventures, Diane, Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, works the busy nights and weekends at AHP. Bringing loads of experience from the Yale Pediatric Emergency Room, Diane also teaches pediatrics to Nurse Practitioner students at USF. She loves pediatrics and equally loves it when her students decide to specialize in pediatrics after their rotation with her. She is another person who makes our staff great.

Great info to help your children through the cold and flu season.
