Founded in 1937, Halifax Humane Society is a 501(c)(3) private nonprofit organization servicing the Greater Daytona Beach area in Volusia County. HHS is an open-door animal shelter that receives over 15,000 annually through city contracts and owner surrenders. Kennel and cage capacity can comfortably house approximately 350 animals per day and is usually full. Equipped with a spay/neuter clinic, we perform early-age S/N surgeries to ensure that all adopted animals are altered before entering a new home. Low Cost S/N certificates are also made available to the public.
HHS does not receive financial gifts from the United Way, national animal organizations nor from tax-dollars. All donations to HHS are tax-deductible.
Hours of operation: Monday – Saturday 10:00am to 6:00pm Sunday 10:00am to 2:00pm
Adoption Fee per dog or cat: $70 Includes: Spay/Neuter surgery Vaccinations Microchip & Registration (Home Again) Tag Health Check Certificate (good up to 10 days)
