WHO ARE WE Since 1997, Kindness, Inc. has provided essential services to our neighbors in Baxter and Marion Counties, Arkansas, who need a little help to remain independent while they age in their own homes. We offer door to door service for not only medical appointments, but trips to the hair dresser and shopping for food, prescription pick up, clothing, the little things that help provide quality of life in the home. Sometimes the volunteers will do the shopping for the client. Some will spend time with a client so their main caregiver can have some time off. We make daily “reassurance calls”, just to make sure they are OK, especially when the weather is an issue. In most cases the volunteer will take the same client each time they need a ride. And many of the volunteers have told us their clients are now like family.
HOW WE OPERATE Kindness, Inc. is a 501(c)3 nonprofit. We receive no federal, state or county funding. We depend entirely on fundraising efforts, gifts from local individuals, businesses and civic groups, and grants for our operating expenses.
