Durden Enterprises, Inc. of Auburn, Georgia was founded in 1972 by its president and CEO John Durden. An industrial design graduate of Georgia Tech, John began the company to manufacture a single product, a patented medical electrode. Today, the company's Medical Products Division is a nationally recognized, FDA registered facility still producing that original device as well as a variety of other disposable medical products designed by Durden or licensed from other companies.
Durden's Plastics Division began as a spin-off of the injection molding technology originally acquired under the Medical Products Division. The goal was to provide low-cost, quick-turnaround tooling for less than maximum volumes demanded by the high-tech and other specialty markets. Today the Plastics Division is an industry leader providing part design, tooling, molding, finishing and packaging to a diverse group of industries.
