Our nonprofit organization’s portfolio of behavioral health and supportive services empowers and supports individuals and families to move toward resilience, wellness, and independence.

And, we are expanding our capacity to address the increasingly complex needs of individuals and families. Since January of 2017, we have added three divisions to the Caminar organization: Family & Children Services of Silicon Valley, Healthy Partnerships, and Project Ninety.

We appreciate your reviews and do read them. Due to stringent and important client confidentiality requirements for behavioral health services providers, we are not able to respond in any way that acknowledges whether someone has been in our programs. General social media guidelines for Caminar staff:

We encourage all Caminar staff to participate in social media to pass on the good news about the important work that we do and the wonderful success stories from our programs.

While we are excited about the opportunities that social media offer to share information and engage the community, we trust that there is the shared expectation that each of us who participates in social media relating to Caminar will fully understand and follow these basic but important guidelines. These guidelines pertain to all social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, MySpace, LinkedIn, FourSquare, Twitter, YouTube, Flickr, blogs, and discussion boards.

• Each staff member should be fully accountable for the content that he or she publishes on any form of social media. Making sure you have read and re-read potential comments before posting can be critical

• Client information is confidential. Do not post specific information about clients or potential clients. Any information about our clients or potential clients cannot be posted if the information could be associated with the client. Such information cannot be shared without a signed release and permission from our client and the express written approval from the Executive Director of the region.

• Share information about the work you do, keeping in mind that you are a representing our organization to the general public. Use your best judgment in posting remarks so they are fully sensitive to the work we do, your co-workers, peers, and our clients, especially if the comments might be construed a shedding a negative light on our mission, those who share with you in this wonderful work, or our organization.

• Please be respectful. Do not post anything that may be embarrassing or defamatory toward a client, partnering agency, or sponsor.

• Be discreet about sharing your personal information that could affect your privacy or that of clients and other staff members. Do not post your email addresses, telephone numbers, or home addresses. Do not post any such information about our employees, your peers, or our partnering agency members.

• Bear in mind that what you publish is accessible to a large population, and that the content is ultimately owned by the social media company with which you subscribe.

• We ask that you keep your comments on topic. The purpose of the Caminar Facebook page is to share information on services and treatment for individuals with mental illness and disabilities. If we deem a post to be inappropriate or off-topic, we reserve the right to edit or remove it at any time.

Guidelines for the public (Facebook Info page):

Welcome to Caminar’s Facebook fan page! We are happy to provide a forum for us to share news and success stories from our various programs, as well as news from the medical front or public policy that impact individuals in our community who have mental illness or disabilities.

Our goal is to provide an online community where members can share information, express concerns or ideas, and interact with each other.

While we encourage people to participate in our community, we ask that you review our online community guidelines.

• We do not allow graphic, obscene, explicit or racial comments or submissions, nor do we allow comments that are abusive, hateful or intended to defame anyone or any organization.

• We ask that you keep your comments on topic. The focus of the Caminar Facebook page is services and treatment for individuals with behavioral health conditions. Caminar reserves the right to edit or remove inappropriate or off-topic comments at any time.

• We do not allow third party solicitations or advertisements. This includes promotion or endorsement of any financial, commercial or non-governmental agency. Similarly, we do not allow attempts to defame or defraud any financial, commercial or non-governmental agency.

• We do not allow comments that suggest or encourage illegal activity or actions, comments or conduct which does not conform to our workplace guidelines on employee conduct.

• We ask that you do not give out personal information that could jeopardize your privacy, such as email addresses, telephone numbers, or home addresses.

• You participate as a representative and will need to be fully accountable for and take personal responsibility for your comments, your username and any information provided.
