JRMA Architects Engineers is a design firm offering professional Architectural and Engineering services to owners and design-build construction contractors with a focus on functionality, efficiency and life-cycle cost reduction. Our capabilities include complete architectural building design and site planning, computer graphics/renderings, structural engineering services, assessment studies, permit and agency processing, construction management, and contract administration.

Founded in 1982 as Miller Engineering Services, the firm has consistently provided design and engineering services to owners and design/build construction contractors for a wide range of commercial projects. Prior to founding the firm, Jim Miller spent seven years as a design engineer in design/build construction and two years as a facility engineer. Beginning in 1986, an architectural staff was added in order to provide complete facility design services. Today, our firm has over 43 employees with offices in Brea, CA and Lexington, KY.

JRMA Architects Engineers has completed designs for over 4,500 building projects including steel frame, masonry, tilt-up concrete and pre-engineered steel construction. In addition, we have designed over 1,500 structural engineering projects involving seismic retrofits and equipment foundations. All projects utilize state-of-the-art computer capability in structural analysis and architectural design.

Our professional affiliations include the American Institute of Architects, the Structural Engineers’ Association of California, American Society of Civil Engineers, the National Society of Professional Engineers, the International Council of Building Officials and the Green Building Council. We are also active members of the Systems Builders Association, where we've made a significant contribution to the establishment of a Handbook on Design Aspects of Systems Buildings by the Architectural Department at Cal Poly Pomona.

Our engineering staff holds Structural Engineer's licenses in Arizona, California, Hawaii, Illinois, Nevada, Utah, and Washington. In addition, members of our staff hold Professional Engineer's licenses in Alabama, Florida, Hawaii, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Nevada, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, New York, New Jersey, and Wisconsin.

Our architectural registrations include California, Kentucky, Arizona, and NCARB (National Council of Architectural Registration Boards).
