Auto Craft Collision Center

We are a family owned company that has lived and worked in the Baldwin/Mobile market for more than 100 years. In 1962, John and Helen Chupek opened Fairhope Paint & Body Shop in downtown Fairhope. They were familiar with everyone in the small town and worked hard to provide customers with top-quality collision work. John and Helen continued to work and grow the business until they retired and sold the business to their son, Sidney and his wife Linda in 1988.
Not satisfied with one location, Sidney and Linda opened a second location at Chris Myers Automall in Daphne in 1989. In 1993, they opened a third location, Jubilee Paint & Body Shop on Randall Avenue, where the two Daphne stores would eventually merge into one. In 1997, they opened a third location in the Gulf Shores market. Sidney and Linda successfully operated three of the most up-to-date collision centers on the Alabama Gulf Coast at this point.
By 2008, Sidney and Linda retired. Their son, Chad, purchased the company. Following in his father and grandfather’s shadows, the third generation owner spent many years working in the collision industry as a technician, single and multi-facility manager and now, as CEO of the company. In 2013, the company changed its name at all locations to Auto Craft Collision Center. The change in names was completed to provide continuity and brand recognition for those unaware of our locations under different names. The company is poised for continued growth into additional markets during the near future.
