The Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition, Inc. (DBCC) was established by a small group of community volunteers in 1991. Since then, it has grown into a state-wide organization with offices in all three counties: New Castle County (Wilmington), Kent County (Dover) and Sussex County (Rehoboth).
The vision of the agency is to create a community where every person diagnosed with breast cancer is a survivor, and fear and doubt are replaced with knowledge and hope.
DBCC’s programs reach diverse communities to deliver messages that address their unique concerns about breast cancer and early detection. Recognizing the barriers of language, culture, and economics, the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition trains community advocates to educate and encourage local residents to take responsibility for their health.
The Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition (DBCC) helps those who are underserved and underinsured to receive free or reduced-cost care. In addition, the DBCC helps navigate residents to screenings across the state of Delaware.
The Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition is not nationally funded. The majority of funding comes from local Delaware businesses and partners. If you are looking for a way to get involved please contact us, or visit for upcoming opportunities.
