Sheila Guillot Pitre, , , is a 1987 cum laude graduate of Nicholls State University, in Thibodaux, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology/ Pre-medicine. In 1992 she obtained her Medical Doctor Degree from Louisiana State University Medical Center School of Medicine. Dr. Pitre completed her internship and pediatric residency at Louisiana State University Medical Center in New Orleans where she was named the "Outstanding Pediatric Intensive Care Resident" in 1994. She joined The Children’s Clinic of Thibodaux, LLC in 1993.
Dr. Pitre is a Red Cross Certified Water Safety Instructor, and is Red Cross Certified in CPR and First Aide. She also is American Heart Association Certified in Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Life Support, and Neonatal Life Support. Dr. Pitre is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, American Medical Association, and the Bayou Pediatric Society. Along with her husband, Bob, and daughter Ashly, she enjoys raising, fitting and showing cattle, and fishing.
