Beechmoor Restaurant and Lounge shared Hayward Power Sports's post.
Right now not a ton of change from Friday but we are patiently awaiting the change this afternoon! It has continued to be cold this weekend and today, which is a wonderful thing (when you live in the Northwoods!) The forecast is calling for 4-6" of snow today!! We couldn't be happier about this news! The base as of now ranges anywhere from 0-5", that seems like a stretch but in the woods it is much more protected where as in the open along the roads there are scattered bare spots. However saying that, there have been slight dusting the last few days, not much but enough to turn things in the open that were bare, white and the cold weather is helping it stick there. We had several riders in this weekend as well as renters who were pleasantly surprised at the trail conditions particularly in the woods, so with that said, this new snow fall will really boost the trails!
The lakes are fair as of today, again waiting for the snow. They are frozen with lots of ice must have been very slippery. There is one exception to the lakes, Lake Hayward is open under the bridge by hwy 77 as well by the entrance near Market Place. These areas have been roped off. Please do not go on Lake Hayward until further notice.
As always we will continue to update with any changes but look forward to updating after this afternoon! Snow snow snow!!
