Lowndes & Barrett, LLC, is a small law firm focusing solely on adoptions. Thomas P. Lowndes, Jr., and Emily McDaniel Barrett, are both members of the American Academy of Adoption Attorneys, and have over 50 years combined of adoption experience. Emily and Tom work with birth parents and adoptive parents of all social, ethnic, and racial backgrounds, throughout South Carolina and across the United States.
Emily and Tom help women who are facing an unplanned or crisis pregnancy and are looking for a loving alternative to abortion. We offer compassionate support and help connect her with an adoptive family for her child. We will also handle coordinating the needs of the birth mother, from living expenses to counseling, as well as lining up social workers so that the birth mom does not need to worry about anything herself, except for staying healthy. We can also provide an attorney for her if she so chooses.
Emily and Tom also works with adoptive parents who are facing infertility and have chosen adoption to build their family. We help them build their family profiles and locate a birth mother.
