Music City Mortuary and Music City Crematory Service is owned and operated by brothers Jeff and Steve Murphy. Both are licensed funeral directors, embalmers, and certified crematory operators. They grew up in the small West Tennessee town of Milan. Both started their careers through the local funeral home. After graduating from mortuary school, they made Nashville their home and worked as funeral directors in both privately help and corporately owned funeral establishments. While working in Nashville, their friends from West Tennessee would ask for their help whenever they had a death to occur in the Middle Tennessee area. Building a strong reputation as good embalmers, and seeing a need, Steve founded Music City in 2001, older brother Jeff soon followed. They opened Music City Crematory Service in 2005.
