Hoff Funeral Homes were established in 1969 to assist families during difficult times. We are in the business of offering funerals that are more a celebration of life by working with you to help create a funeral that is unique, just like the person being celebrated.
Our commitment is to pay careful attention to the wishes of each member of the bereaved family, provide a comforting setting for reflecting and remembrance and arrange every detail as the family desires. Each member of our experienced staff is dedicated to alleviating the stress and grief associated with the death of a loved one.
We serve Winona, Goodview, Lewiston, Rushford, Houston, St. Charles and surrounding areas with an obligation to meet the changing needs of families and we offer the highest level of professionalism. With pride, we bring generations of understanding and commitment and an unmatched reputation for price sensitivity without compromising service and quality.
The recently-renovated Hoff Celebration of Life Center in Goodview boasts a large event center with two handcrafted fireplaces, 25 granite bistro tables, a large kitchen area with a center serving island, and plenty of parking space. The Winona community has embraced the new space for bridal showers, birthday parties, graduation open houses, baby showers, and non-profit staff trainings.
Because we have the crematory on-site our Winona location, we have three certified crematory operators on staff. They have gone through additional training and continuing education classes to stay current with the cremation trend.
We also have six certified funeral celebrants on staff. A celeberant offers an alternative to a service provided by a clergy person for those families who are not affiliated with a church or who do not wish to have a traditional religious funeral service. They have been specifically trained to design a service that is completely personal, incorporating those unique stories, songs, and experiences that defined the loved one. Celebrants will schedule a special “Family Time” meeting when the family can share memories, anecdotes and defining moments in the loved one’s life. The essence of the service will be based upon the remembrances of the family, and family and friends will be encouraged to have developed a library of resources available for readings, music, ceremonies, and personal touches. He/She will consult with the family to help them choose the different parts of the service that reflect their loved one.
