The Office Supply Co. was started in the year 1916 by the former noted Governor of Montana, Joseph M. Dixon. Claude Elder purchased the company in 1920 and it has been in his family ever since. After the company’s original location in the old Florence Hotel building was destroyed by fire in 1934 the store was moved to 221 N. Higgins. In 1939, we moved to our present location at 115 W. Broadway. Richard & JoAnn Hughes are the current owners and operators.
In 1995, The Office Supply Co. joined the nation’s largest buying group and changed the name to Missoula’s Office City. Today, Missoula’s Office City is Western Montana’s largest locally owned office supply & furniture dealer. With 16 employees and over 250 years combined experience, we have made ordering office supplies easy.
