Amarillo Area Mental Health Consumers(AAMHC) was formed as a chapter of Texas Mental Health Consumers (TMHC) who were interested in learning more about empowerment and advocacy. As the organization evolved we became an independent peer support recovery center funded by the Department of State Health Services.
