Adolph Coors was 26 when he opened his brewery in Golden, Colorado. Not only was Golden the ideal place to find fresh water and grow perfect barley, it was also an excellent place to pan for gold, which lured miners by the thousands -- who after a hard day’s work yearned for nothing more than something refreshing.
To this day we still malt virtually all our barley at the Golden brewery and get our water from the Clear Creek Watershed, very close to its source, ensuring its Rocky Mountain taste.
And that was that, what began in 1873 a Coors family business remains that way over 140 years later. Coors Banquet - always and forever brewed in Golden, Colorado.
All of us in the Coors family, everyone from the farmers and the brewers to the bottlers and the drivers thank you for being a fan of Coors Banquet. Cheers.
