On July 1st, 2003, SAVA Center became a private, non-profit, 501(c)3 organization after being a part of the Larimer Center for Mental Health since 1974. SAVA Center is the only rape crisis center in Larimer County dedicated exclusively to serving the needs of sexual assault survivors. SAVA’s works to reduce sexual violence in Larimer County and Weld County through; community outreach, prevention/education, advocacy, and support, and crisis intervention. We achieve this through a two-pronged approach of direct service (24 hour hotline, therapy and groups) and prevention programming. SAVA primarily serves residents of Larimer County and Weld County, although the prevention program has been presented at many statewide conferences and to schools and communities throughout Colorado.
