Latino Resource Organization (LRO) was founded in 1983 as a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit, community-based social service organization. LRO has been providing a variety of multicultural social services to communities in the Greater West Los Angeles areas. Headquartered in the City of Venice, LRO operates the West Los Angeles FamilySource Center a community grass-root resource center where families can reach to receive a consortium of services that aim to improving the quality of life.
LRO assisted 2,650 clients last year with bilingual communications and culturally-informed and sensitive services. The most essential-- case management, food assistance, multi-benefit screening and enrollment, and pre-employment and employment support—extend across all programs categories and age groups. Customized approaches come through our Covered California, Senior Services, Youth Services, Immigration and Naturalization, and Financial Education/Tax Assistance programs.
