Jim Rice, Senior Vice President of Operations at the Little Rock Convention and Visitors Bureau, will be honored... fb.me/1MExzo2qU

Jim Rice, Senior Vice President of Operations at the Little Rock Convention and Visitors Bureau, will be honored with an induction into the Arkansas Hospitality Association Hall of Fame at the 16th annual Stars of the Industry Awards on Monday, February 27th, at the Clinton Presidential Library. This award recognizes outstanding performance, commitment, and achievements in the foodservice, lodging, and travel industry. Since 1981, Jim Rice has helped shape the vision of the Little Rock Convention and Visitors Bureau. To name just a few of his accomplishments, he oversaw the expansion of the Statehouse Convention Center, assisted in the transition of the Excelsior Hotel to the Peabody, and now the state’s only full service Marriott. Additionally, he was instrumental in LRCVB’s taking over management responsibilities of the River Market, which continues to thrive as the heartbeat of downtown. Most recently, he was a leader in the amazing renovation of the Robinson Center, which reopened in November 2016 after a 2 and a half year, $70 million expansion. As a Certified Destination Management Executive, Rice assumes responsibility for all facility management including the Statehouse Convention Center, the Robinson Center, the River Market, and five parking facilities. In total, he manages over 1 million square feet of tourism related space in Little Rock. Congratulations to Jim Rice on this outstanding achievement!
