Prior to the incorporation as a cemetery this property was a famous nursery in from this nursery trees were shipped to East Providence,Boston Common and large quantity of Mulberry trees were grown here and the farm became known as Mulberry 1874 William H. Dyer formed the Pocasset Cemetery .The cemetery sits on about 45 acres of land that was called Antashantuck Neck by the originally consisted of 113 acres. The present cemetery sits on acres of land adjoining St. Ann's cemetery holds a non profit status so all donations are welcomed to maintain this operation.
