Inc. was incorporated in Georgia, April 1990, by Joseph J. Escher. Joe’s father, Edward “Eddie”, was a member of the Pittsburgh Steamfitters Union, Local 449. Eddie had a major influence on Joe deciding to start working in the mechanical construction industry. In 1971 when a Pittsburgh contractor decided to expand operations to Atlanta, Joe moved his family to open the office. Over the next 20 years, Joe worked for several other mechanical contractors working on industrial and commercial projects throughout the southeast. A significant part of the startup business plan for the new organization was to bring several construction personnel, with whom Joe had worked for a number of years, to join the new company. Among these key people were Dean Smith and Brian Bousquette. After 27 years, Dean and Brian remain a major part of the corporation. Max Escher became president of the firm in 2008.
