After moving the family from New York to Charleston, the only thing we really missed was the Italian cooking. So we got our trunkful of recipes out, found two stone ovens and set up shop—Mama, Pop, brother and sisters.
People said the aromas brought them in. Others liked to watch the dough-tossing. And they kept coming back— for lunch, too. They all told us, "This New York pizza's the best! Never had it before…where you guys been?"
We said, "uh…New York."
Customers became friends and started asking us for "authentic" pasta and subs and cannolis. Well, we have recipes for those, too, so the menu’s grown along with the family. We’ve added wings and wraps and things for girls who want to be skinny.
