Mrs. Elizabeth Forsyth was a lifelong Lynchburg resident and active community builder. The opening of Elizabeth's Early Learning Center (EELC) in 1997 was the realization of a dream she had to open a child care center where children from all corners of our community and from all different backgrounds would come together in a loving and caring environment to grow and develop into healthy and productive citizens. She purchased a parking lot and shell building and transformed them into one of the finest child care facilities in Virginia.
To ensure diversity, EELC's tuition plan accomodates families of varying financial circumstances. Through Mrs. Forsyth's generosity, an endowment has been established to help support scholarship programs. Scholarship programs have also benefited from the support of others in the community. EELC accepts DSS vouchers at every age level.
