I am so angry! This site that was built by King Herod the Great - a JEWISH king, more than 2,000 years ago, many centuries before the creation of Islam is now considered by the Americans as "Palaestinian Heritage"??? WHAT? A Jewish King, built these pools to bring water to the Jewish Temple in the Jewish City of Jerusalem! Learn your history please! Friends from the USA - please contact your congress-men and ask them to remove the wrong captions [in Arabic] from the official site! Unvelievable

GENESIS In Jewish tradition, the end is also a beginning. During Sinchat Torah [Joy of Torah, the festival at the end of Tabernacles], we read the finishing Parsha [portion] of the Torah [Pentateuch] but we also begin with the first Parsha, which is Genesis. It marks for the Jews the beginning of a new year - each year we read and complete reading the Torah. It is a cycle, reminding us that life is actually a cycle - we are part of the cycle of life, part of the past and here for the future. 1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. 2 Now the earth was unformed and void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep; and the spirit of God hovered over the face of the waters. Blessings from Jerusalem with this photo I took a few years ago from the Mt of Beatitudes, overlooking the Sea of Galilee The other photo is from the Israel Museum in Jerusalem

Good Monday, An ancient ceremony was reenacted and brought back to life just hours ago in Jerusalem. The ceremony surrounds Temple Water Libation. In ancient times on the sixth day of the Jewish festival of Sukkoth the priest would gather water from the pool of Siloam and in grand celebrations carry the water up to the Temple to be poured out on the altar. It was during this feast and celebration that Jesus cried out saying, "If any man thirst let him drink of the water of life freely. " Just a few hours ago upwards of 500 people joined the priests in carrying out this ancient tradition. They asked for God's blessing over the rain of the earth. Guess what, it is pouring rain in Jerusalem today.
A beautiful ritual, derived from the Bible, which took place in Temple Times - Third Temple is closer than ever!
A record crowd attended the reenactment of the water libation ceremony (nusach hamayim) performed in the days of the Temple.
