When our founders came to California’s Carmel Valley in 1984, they were city kids from Manhattan, drawn to the natural beauty and richness of the land. They settled on a raspberry farm and committed to farming the land organically, producing food they would want to eat themselves and would feel good about serving their families, friends, and neighbors. Their labor of love became Earthbound Farm.
In 1986 we were the first company to successfully launch prewashed, packaged salad for retail sale, helping introduce “spring mix” to restaurants and supermarket produce aisles. Today, gourmet salad greens and packaged salads have become staples of grocery baskets everywhere.
We’ve been farming for more than 25 years now, and we’ve become the world’s largest grower of organic produce. But our original commitment to organic farming has never wavered. We’re dedicated to bringing the benefits of organic food — fresh, flavorful, and healthy — to as many people as possible.
Our headquarters is located at 1721 San Juan Highway, San Juan Bautista, CA 95045. Our Carmel Valley Farm Stand is at 7250 Carmel Valley Road (just mi east of Highway 1) in Carmel Valley, CA 93923.
