Great advice!
TO OUR RESIDENTS:There is the potential for dangerously cold weather this weekend. Please take some time prior to the Arctic cold to prepare your family for this event. -Disconnect Garden hoses and winterize non-frostless hose bibs. -Use combustion type heating only when properly vented to prevent fire and carbon monoxide build up. -If you don't know how old your car battery is, then it would be wise to have it tested at your local auto parts retailer. (Most test for free) -Set thermostats as low as is comfortable, as your furnace/boiler may struggle to maintain with cold temperatures. -Your pets are not exempt from the cold, be sure to limit their exposure. Stay Warm and Be safe.
